Plant Description
Burdock is a biennial thistle with prickly heads, or burrs, that grows wild in Northern Asia, Europe, and the United States. It grows to a height of 3-4 feet and has purple flowers during the summer months. It is cultivated for use by the Japanese and in parts of Europe as a vegetable.
